Ordering Transcripts

 

Welcome to Hawai‘i Pacific University’s online Transcript Ordering System. Ordering Official Transcripts is now easier than ever! HPU uses the highest available level of security and efficiency for transcript ordering and delivery. Please click on the "+" symbol next to the desired transcript option for more information.

Transcripts will not be sent if you have an outstanding financial obligation to the university.

 

Note: A valid credit or debit card is required for all official transcript orders.

 

Students who are currently enrolled or planning to graduate will be given the option to have their official transcript order processed at a later time. The following processing time options will be presented while putting together the transcript order on Parchment. 

  • Hold for Grades:  For students waiting for grades from a current term to be posted. Grades will be available a week after the term ends.

  • Hold for Degree:  For students waiting for a degree to be awarded. Degree will be awarded after the conferral process, which can take approximately 60 days after the term ends. Please refer to the timeline found with the Petition to Graduate form. 

Failure to click on the appropriate option will result in your official transcript being printed in the normal processing time, and a new transcript order will have to be submitted. 

Students with access to My.HPU.edu (student portal) can select the unofficial transcript link under Academic Transcripts found in the sidebar. Unofficial transcripts are not available for former students or alumni who do not have My.HPU.edu access. Current students may print an unofficial transcript on any printer. No official transcripts are available on My.HPU.edu.

Official transcripts can be ordered via HPU’s Student Portal - My.HPU.edu or via Parchment. You will be required to establish your account after inclusion of certain identifying information with the first order. You must provide a valid credit or debit card, which will be charged when the transcript is sent. 

** Please note: HPU does not accept transcript requests via email, mail, or fax.

Paper official transcripts will be mailed via USPS First Class Mail within 3-5 business days from the date the transcript is ordered.

Important: The University is not responsible for undeliverable transcripts. Once the transcript leaves the University, it is the responsibility of the shipping/delivery company (FedEx, USPS, etc.). Lost/misdirected and/or damaged transcripts may result in having to request and pay for additional transcripts.

All transcripts released to the student will be stamped, "Issued To Student". As these transcripts bear the HPU seal, they are nonetheless official. This simply advises a third party that the student has had personal possession of the transcript.

 

Processing Methods:

  • Regular Processing ($10 per Transcript): For transcript orders received with the regular processing option selected, the transcript order will be completed and shipped within 3-5 business days via the delivery method selected in your order.
  • Rush Processing ($17 per transcript): For transcript orders received with the rush processing option selected, the transcript order will be completed and shipped within 2 business days via the delivery method selected in your order.

Delivery Methods:

  • Regular 1st Class Mail (No additional fee)
  • Student Pick-Up (No additional fee) 
    • Paper Transcripts can be picked-up at the Registrar’s Office, 500 Ala Moana Blvd, Ste 5A. Office hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. A valid photo ID must be shown at time of pick up.
    • If you are unable to pick up the official transcript yourself, then you can request for a third party to pick it up on your behalf. To make the request, please send an email authorizing the third party to pick up your official transcript. Email must include the third party's full name and your transcript order number. Authorization emails must be sent from either your student email address (@my.hpu.edu) or from the email address that is tied to your Parchment account. Please send authorization emails to transcripts@hpu.edu
  • The following express mailing options will be offered at the time of ordering and will inccur additional charges depending on shipping method. Please observe the different cut off times for the following delivery methods.
    • US Postal Priority (All US Postal Priority orders submited after 12:00pm Hawai'i Time(HST) will be processed next business day):
      • US Postal Priority Flat Rate: $6
    • US Postal Express Service (All US Postal Express orders submited after 12:00pm Hawai'i Time(HST) will be processed next business day):
      • US Mainland: $25
      • Hawai‘i: $20 (Only for transcripts going to a Hawai'i address)
      • International address: $50
    • Federal Express Priority Overnight (No PO Box Delivery) (All FedEx orders submited after 12:00pm Hawai'i Time(HST) will be processed next business day):
      • US Mainland: $30
      • Hawai‘i: $15 (Only for transcripts going to a Hawai'i address)
      • International address: $55
    • DHL Express International (No PO Box Delivery) (All DHL orders submitted after 2:30pm Hawai'i Time(HST) will be processed next business day):
      • International address: $20

Authenticity of Paper Transcripts

The Registrar’s Office is dedicated to the privacy of our students and alumni data and provides state of the art authenticity and security of its transcripts. If you are concerned about the authenticity of the transcript, please contact the Transcripts department of the Registrar’s Office immediately.

For students who enrolled in any term since 1999, HPU offers electronic transcripts (eTranscripts), which can be sent to any valid email address in the world in a secure certified PDF (cPDF) format. These transcripts are considered official documents and can be validated as they have been digitally signed and certified by HPU. Please perform the following before ordering an eTranscript: 

  • It is the responsibility of the transcript requester to verify that the recipient will accept delivery of an Electronic PDF Transcript. (The recipient will be sent instructions on how to pull the certified PDF from a secure server.).
  • To avoid potential problems with spam filters, please instruct recipients to allow emails from Parchment (parchment.com).
  • To avoid duplicate charges, check with the recipient for the correct email address to send an official certified PDF transcript before requesting it.Oftentimes, schools have designated a generic mailbox for this purpose.

The cost for eTranscripts is $10 per transcript.  There are no additional express processing or express mail charges for RUSH orders because these are delivered to the email address you have designated. Understand that you must be very careful when entering the email address of the recipient because you will be charged for each request, valid or not. Once ordered, the recipient's email address cannot be changed. If the request needs to go to a different email address, a new order must placed. All charges for eTranscripts are nonrefundable.

 

WARNING: ONCE THE TRANSCRIPT HAS BEEN PROCESSED, YOU AND/OR YOUR RECIPIENT WILL ONLY HAVE 30 DAYS TO DOWNLOAD THE FILE. 

 

MAC USERS - SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
When viewing an official electronic transcript from HPU, the software utilizes Adobe’s secure certified PDF technology and therefore may only be viewed using the free Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat. The default Mac preview application will not display the document correctly. If you do not have Adobe Reader installed, you can download it from Adobe at http://get.adobe.com/reader. AUTHENTICITY OF Electronic TRANSCRIPTS

A document that contains a digital signature can be instantly validated and when valid displays a blue ribbon on the notification bar across the top of the Adobe Reader. On older versions of the Adobe reader, the blue ribbon will be displayed on a pop-up screen and in the lower left corner of the frame of the application. The blue ribbon symbol is your assurance that the digital signature is valid, authentic, and the contents of the document have not been altered.

Important: If you are the student ordering your own official transcript, then do not click the link below. If you submit your transcript order via this link then your order will not be processed. 

Please click the link below if you are a Third Party Organization/Company requesting for Official Transcripts on behalf of the student. A Learner Consent form must be completed and signed by the student. Digital signatures will not be accepted, and will cause your order to be cancelled.
