Updating Personal Info

Student academic records are maintained in the Registrar's Office, located at 500 Ala Moana Blvd (Waterfront Plaza Student Services Center), Suite 5A. The University adheres to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 regarding the confidentiality of student records.

To make changes/updates to your address, emergency contact, ethnicity, or marital status, log onto your MyHPU and follow these easy steps:

 

CHANGE/UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS

  1. Log into the student portal, MyHPU (my.hpu.edu).
  2. Click on General Person Info on the QuickLaunch section of your home screen.
  3. Click on Personal Information - View and update your biographical and demographic information.
  4. Scroll down to the Address Section. You can click on ADD NEW (for additional addresses) or click on the pen to EDIT CURRENT INFORMATION or add an end date.    

 

CHANGE/UPDATE YOUR EMERGENCY CONTACT

  1. Click on General Person Info on the QuickLaunch section of your home screen.
  2. Click on Personal Information - View and update your biographical and demographic information. 
  3. Scroll down to the Emergency Contact Section. You can click on ADD NEW (for additional persons) or click on the pen to edit the current contact information listed.    

 

CHANGE/UPDATE YOUR ETHNICITY

  1. Click on General Person Info on the QuickLaunch section of your home screen.
  2. Click on Personal Information - View and update your biographical and demographic information. 
  3. Scroll down to the Additional Details Section. Click on the pen to edit the Ethnicity and Race option.    

 

CHANGE/UPDATE YOUR MARITAL STATUS

  1. Click on General Person Info on the QuickLaunch section of your home screen.
  2. Click on Personal Information - View and update your biographical and demographic information. 
  3. Click edit in the Personal Details section to update your Marital Status.  

 

LEGAL NAME, GENDER, AND/OR SSN UPDATE INFORMATION

Use the Change of Student Information Form to update legal name, gender, or SSN. Submit the form and supporting documentation**:

  • In Person: Student Services Center- 500 Ala Moana Blvd, Suite 5A, Honolulu, HI 96813
  • Email: Form (wet signatures ONLY, no electronic signatures) and documentation accepted only from your @my.hpu.edu email address to registrar@hpu.edu.
  • Mail: Form and documentation must be notarized sent to HPU Registrar's Office 500 Ala Moana Blvd, Suite 5A, Honolulu, HI 96813.

**NOTE: Per law, we DO NOT accept copies of Military Identification Cards. We also will not make copies if originals are submitted in person.
