Introducing our new General Contractors Association of Hawaiʻi Construction Management Program

 

HPU’s GCA Management Program trains graduates with the skills needed to advance within the construction management industry in project management and leadership roles and earn their online MS in Construction Management degree. Veering away from a traditional engineering focus, this program enables students to focus on skills needed to excel as construction and project management professionals. Develop the skills and knowledge needed to lead construction projects with efficiency and expertise. Curriculum aligns with learning outcomes with the accreditation requirements from the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE).


As of Fall 2025, the MSCM program is delivered online, with the addition of optional hybrid course sections. This format features accelerated 8-week semesters and allows students to complete the degree in as few as 12 months. This program is not available to international students.

Industry partners deeply rooted in Hawaiʻi influence and shape our curriculum. We are the first and only specialized master's degree in construction management in the state. Our curriculum aligns with the accreditation requirements from the ACCE. Courses cover a wide range of essential subjects, including construction, project management, advanced project scheduling and control, construction cost management, legal aspects of construction, risk management in construction, construction safety, compliance, and sustainability.
