International Transfer Credit Information

International Transfer Credit Information

International students may qualify for up to a total of 30 semester credits (from any one or combined sources) to be counted toward the 120 credits required for HPU graduation, depending on their high school or secondary school curriculum. The university considers this transfer credit. European countries have progressive education models that often cover significant course work during the secondary education years making their students often well prepared for the U.S. higher education model.

With transfer credit students have more flexibility in their course selection at HPU and may be able to graduate early should this be a goal. Understanding early on the transferability and equivalencies of prior coursework will allow students to enter the university and complete the courses needed to complete their degree program.

Please note that evaluation of transfer credit is on a case by case basis and does NOT guarantee entering Hawai‘i Pacific University at a sophomore level or completing a degree in a shorter amount of time.
