New Undergraduate

HPU offers competitive merit scholarships and other need and non-need scholarships/grants through the admissions process. New incoming freshmen and transfer students are automatically considered for all available merit scholarships at the time of admissions. No separate application is required.

Continuing/returning students may receive their Merit Scholarships in subsequent years based on the guidelines/restrictions of the awards.

NEW UNDERGRADUATE FRESHMEN

Full-time, degree-seeking, undergraduate freshman applicants are considered for academic merit scholarships at the time of admission based on academic abilities. Academic merit scholarships are applied towards tuition. To determine your academic merit scholarship eligibility, please complete an   application  for undergraduate admission.

Merit-based scholarships do not require an application for financial aid. However, we strongly encourage merit award candidates to complete the   FAFSA  if they believe they will require financial aid in addition to their merit award. All merit award recipients who have submitted the FAFSA will also be considered for any need-based aid for which they qualify beyond the amount of the merit award.  You will be notified, at the time of admission, whether or not you have been awarded an academic merit scholarship.

For information on specific opportunities for new freshmen, please contact the   Office of Admissions.
