admissions requirements
HPU takes a holistic approach to admissions, considering your academic background and the information provided in your application.
1. ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS
- Unofficial transcripts can be accepted for admission review. However, official transcripts must be received by the first day of the semester.
- Transcripts not issued in English must include an English translation.
- Secondary school transcripts should include all courses taken and grades/scores received.
HAVE AP OR IB CREDITS?
Students who have taken Advanced Placement (AP) exams or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program should have their official score results sent directly to the Office of Admissions.
These results will be evaluated not only for admission but also for proper advanced standing and/or credit from HPU.
For more details, please visit Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Program
2. Proof of English proficiency
Show that you’re ready for English-language coursework in one of three ways:
- English language test: TOEFL, IELTS
- English language school: EF, ELS Centers
- Alternate ways: Duolingo, attended an international institution
