The Office of Events has undergone several exciting changes this year and appreciates the patience and support of the campus community as it has worked to establish its new structure and services.
The Office of Events is now part of the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) and works closely with the Multimedia team, which provides audio-visual support, including technician assistance and the setup and maintenance of projectors, microphones, sound systems, cameras, and other equipment.
ITS is also responsible for the upkeep and organization of classrooms and event spaces, including tables, chairs, whiteboards, and other equipment.The Office of Events’ primary role is coordinating and hosting external events while supporting internal events whenever possible.
Although the team is dedicated, it is small. While the Office of Events may not be directly involved in every internal event, it is committed to making the event hosting process as clear and manageable as possible. To support event organizers, the office has developed the HPU Guide to Booking Your Event at Aloha Tower Marketplace, which outlines the booking process, guidelines on using the spaces, and available resources and support the team can provide.
