Waterfront Lofts On-Campus Dining: Pier Nine by Sam Choy

 

Pier Nine by Sam Choy defines a new era for campus dining. Starting with the freshest local ingredients, we turn the kitchen inside out to create an environment where chefs craft every dish to order in front of the guest. Modeled after an open marketplace, this approach allows for the for the freshest and most customized experience, delivered every time. Students eating in Pier Nine by Sam Choy will be able to create their own salad or panini sandwich for a lighter meal, or enjoy a featured special meal from our local partner, Chef Sam Choy, whose custom menu items featured throughout the restaurant. 

The facility is open to the public and features indoor and outdoor seating adjacent to Honolulu Harbor!

Waterfront Lofts Resident Mandatory Plans

  • Meals expire at the end of each week (Sunday).
  • Flex dollars associated with mandatory plans expire after the last day of the Spring academic semester. 
  • Four guest meals are included per semester with each mandatory meal plan.
  • All you care to eat plan. ($2 upcharge for Chef Choy featured dishes).
  • Food not allowed to be taken “to-go” unless meal not consumed on-site. Students who take food to go will need to purchase a reusable to-go container set for $12. Used containers can then be exchanged throughout the year for clean ones.
  • One weekly meal swipe per semester may be donated to the HPU Food Pantry.
  • Waterfront Lofts residents may also use their meal plan at the Hawaii Loa campus dining facility.

Guest Meal Program

  • All meal plans will include four guest passes per semester.
  • Guest meals can only be used with the student enrolled in the meal plan present. 
  • Guest meals expire at the end of the semester.
