Post Master Certificate Programs

POST-MASTER’S FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATE

Our Post-Master’s Certificate Program enables nurses with a master's degree in nursing to pursue state certification in an additional specialty area or seek a program of study that may lead to a change in role. Upon completion of the program, students receive a certificate and are eligible to apply for AANP or ANCC national certification examinations.

 

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

This program is in person and requires students to be on campus for coursework. A Master’s degree in nursing is required. Clinical nursing experience is recommended. Certification requirements will vary depending on the applicant's pervious coursework and experience. Applicants will undergo a formal review of their master's degree transcript to determine which additional courses are required to meet the AACN Essentials. Graduate level pathophysiology, pharmacology & physical assessment or equivalent within the past 5 years pre-requisites. 

Can be admitted without pre-requisite but will be required to complete them prior to beginning practicum.

Online Post-Master's Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate

Our online FNP PMC program will begin enrolling in Fall 2022. A Master’s degree in nursing is required. Clinical nursing experience is recommended. Certification requirements will vary depending on the applicant's pervious coursework and experience. Applicants will undergo a formal review of their master's degree transcript to determine which additional courses are required to meet the AACN Essentials. 

Online Post-Master's FNP Certificate

Online Post-Master's Adult Gero Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate

Our online AGACNP PMC program will begin enrolling in Fall 2022. A Master’s degree in nursing is required. 2 years of clinical nursing experience is required. Certification requirements will vary depending on the applicant's pervious coursework and experience. Applicants will undergo a formal review of their master's degree transcript to determine which additional courses are required to meet the AACN Essentials.

Online Post-Master's AGACNP Certificate

Online Post-Master's Psych/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate

Our online PMHNP program will begin enrolling in Fall 2022. A Master’s degree in nursing is required. Clinical nursing experience is recommended. Certification requirements will vary depending on the applicant's pervious coursework and experience. Applicants will undergo a formal review of their master's degree transcript to determine which additional courses are required to meet the AACN Essentials. 

Online Post-Master's PMHNP Certificate

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master's degree program in nursing, post-graduate APRN certificate program, and Doctor of Nursing Practice at Hawai'i Pacific University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington DC 20001, 202-887-6791
