Reference & Research

Reference Librarians work with the HPU community along every step in the search for information. We help students to develop research topics, devise advanced search strategies, locate and critically evaluate information sources, and use those sources effectively and ethically.

We provide research and reference assistance in-person at our library reference desks, via email, over the phone, and through our 24/7 online chat service. Individuals can schedule a research consultation with a reference librarian, who can dedicate one-on-one time to your research questions, and share best practices for where and how to search for information within specific disciplines.
