Disbursement Updates
Financial Aid Disbursement Updates
Regulatory changes were signed into law on July 4, 2025 through Public Law 119-21, better known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act - (OBBBA), which will impact Federal Student Aid programs starting July 1, 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year.
How does this impact your financial aid disbursements and refunds?
- Beginning in 2026-2027, new federal requirements reduce annual federal student loan eligibility in proportion to enrollment when a student attends less than full-time.
- Part-time enrollment may reduce or eliminate a refund.
- Students enrolled less than half-time are not eligible for federal student loans.
To remain eligible for the maximum amount of financial aid, YOU must be enrolled full-time.
- Undergraduates = 12+ credits enrolled
- Graduates/Professionals = 5+ credits enrolled
