Next Steps: Academic

  • Click the link below and use your voucher code to register for a placement test.

REGISTER/TAKE PLACEMENT TEST

Click on the link above and register for the test. You will need to create a profile using a government issued ID, schedule the exam using your voucher code, and then take the test.

In order to complete the testing process successfully please be sure to:

  • Use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox with the pop-up blocker disabled.
  • Use a desktop or laptop computer. Unfortunately, tablets, Chromebooks, and smart phones are not supported.
  • Use an internet connection with an upload or download speed of at least 2 Mbps (test your Internet speed at www.speedtest.net).
  • You can check your computer here to see if it meets the requirements.

 

  • Complete the form below so your Academic Advisor can start working on your class schedule.

  • When you request official high school or college transcripts, have the institution send them to HPU directly. Unfortunately, we cannot accept transcripts that are sent to HPU by students and parents.

    All other official exam scores such as SAT, ACT, IELTS, TOEFL, AP, IB, etc. should also be sent to the Office of Admissions.

  • You must complete a placement test and pre-registration form at least a week prior to your advising appointment.

 

  • During your small group advising session you will meet your academic advisor and have the opportunity to make changes to your course schedule.

  • State of Hawaii‘i law mandates that certain health requirements be cleared before students can enter into postsecondary institutions (Hawaii‘i Administrative Rules, Title 11, Department of Health, Chapter 157 Examination and Immunization) which may be found here
  • HPU has partnered with Med+Proctor to automate immunization verification and simplify managing student health records.

CREATE A MED+PROCTOR ACCOUNT

  • Have a licensed medical provider complete the following health clearance forms:
    • Tuberculosis and Measles, Mumps, Rubella FORM D.
    • Tetanus-Diphtheria-Acceular Pertussis, Varicella, and Meningococcal Conjugate FORM E.
  • Upload those completed forms to Med+Proctor along with other important health insurance information.
  • For more information on Med+Proctor, immunization requirements and exemptions, visit our State of Hawaii Health Clearance Requirements page.
  • Athletes, International, Nursing and Residential students are required to show proof of health insurance. Click the links below to learn more.

US DOMESTIC STUDENTS

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

  • The HPU UniCard serves as the official photo identification for students, faculty, and staff and is required. It contains a color photo, as well as a computer-generated identification number and a magnetic strip that allows students access to facilities on campus. Upload a photo to your student portal. This step must be done online in order to receive an HPU student ID and UPASS (student bus pass). Please read and and adhere to the photo requirements below so your HPU ID is programmed properly to access campus facilities.

  • Login to hpu.edu
  • Go to Student Services > More > Online Photo Upload

Visiting International Students

  • Upload a photo to your student portal
  • Schedule an IN-PERSON Immigration Check-in Appointment
  • Receive an HPU student ID/UPASS after successful immigration check-in

AN APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE IMMIGRATION CHECK-IN. EMAIL STUDENTSERVICES@HPU.EDU TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. WALK-INS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

UPLOAD YOUR PHOTO

PHOTO SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Should be cropped slightly above head to middle of chest (you will have the opportunity to crop and rotate photos during the upload process).
  • Should be taken against a plain white background.
  • Must be a color photo.
  • Must not include sunglasses, hat, mask, or other facial covering.
  • Must be faced directly towards the camera, with eyes open.
  • Your photo cannot be enhanced in any way: no lenses, filters, text, emoji, stickers, etc. and cannot contain other individuals or pets.
