Lambda Pi Eta

Purpose:

To recognize, foster, and reward outstanding scholastic achievement; to stimulate interest in the field of communication; and to promote and encourage professional development among communication majors.


Eligibility (Undergraduate):
  • Be enrolled full-time in either:

    • the bachelor of science program, majoring in mass communication, or

    • the bachelor of arts program, majoring in communication studies, cinematic multimedia production, or integrated multimedia.

  • Have completed 60-semester credit-hours.

  • Have a minimum cumulative HPU GPA of 3.0 for all courses taken.

  • Have completed 12 semester credit-hours in communication courses.

  • Have a minimum HPU GPA of 3.25 for all communication courses.

  • Be enrolled as a student in good standing, as determined by the universities policies.

 
Eligibility (Graduate):
  • Be enrolled full time in the master of arts program, majoring in communication.
  • Have completed 12 hours of graduate-credit hours in communication.
  • Have a minimum cumulative HPU GPA of 3.5 for all courses taken.
  • Be enrolled as a student in good standing, as determined by the universities policies.

 

Membership Dues:

National membership fee (lifetime membership): $30.00

HPU membership fee (induction ceremony, honor cords, etc.): $20.00

TOTAL PAYMENT: $50.00 to be paid upon notification of acceptance.

Red & White cords and Lapel pin.
