#HPUValues Social Media Contest

#HPUValues Social Media Contest

The world has been turned upside down over the past few months, but we've seen members of our ohana step up and live our #HPUValues in a big way. From our nursing students volunteering at the Aloha Free Clinic, to our athletics staff volunteering with the Hawaii Foodbank - we've witnessed amazing displays of aloha.

We want to hear your shelter in place stories about how you have spread our values or witnessed others showing:

Aloha (love, kindness and grace, unity, humility, patience)
Pono (righteousness, honesty and morality)
Kuleana (responsibility and rights, and concern for all interests, property, and people)

Maybe a faculty member went the extra mile to check-in on you during the spring semester, or you and your roommates volunteered to foster animals while you were quarantining. Whether you're an incoming student, current student, faculty, or staff member, share your photos and videos with us so we can highlight some of the exemplary members of our HPU ohana.

  • Share your stories/videos/photos with us of acts of Aloha, Pono, and Kuleana that happened while we were sheltering in place and as we prepare for the fall semester (March 18 - now)!
  • Prizes: Amazon gift cards and HPU swag
  • Who can submit content: Students, faculty, staff, alumni
  • Who is eligible to win prizes? Incoming and current students
  • Submission deadline: Ongoing *
  • Submission format: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram using the hashtag #HPUValues and tagging HPU
