Campus Activities

College students share similar goals of meeting new people and finding ways to get involved. The Office of Student Activities supports these goals by offering fun, entertaining, educational, and innovative programs and activities. Co-curricular activities are an essential part of enriching campus life and we encourage students to become involved. This office also provides leadership and development programs as well as accommodating close to 50 clubs and organizations on-campus. It is our goal to take learning beyond the classroom and cultivate programs that lead to student success.

Welcome Week is a week long celebration at the beginning of each semester. In partnership with various departments and offices across the university, the Office of Student Activities offers co-curricular and extra-curricular activities on the Downtown and Hawaii Loa Campuses. These events aim to welcome and inform students about various aspects of HPU. Please reference the HPU Events Calendar for specific program details during the first week of each semester.

Club Carnival is a biannual event that takes place at Aloha Tower Marketplace. It features booths by HPU’s Registered Student Organizations (clubs and organizations) on the second Friday of each semester. Please reference the HPU Events Calendar for more information. Registered Student Organizations fall into three categories: academic/ professional, cultural/ spiritual, and special interest. A complete list of active clubs is available on the Club and Organizations website.

Hawaii is unique in every aspect - its natural surroundings, the culture, food, people and spirit of aloha. The Office of Student Activities created the Hawaii Spotlight Program as a platform for students to talk story with those in the community to learn more about Hawaii's rich history and culture. Events are scheduled each month during the fall and spring semester. Please reference the HPU Events Calendar for specific event details in the months of September, October, November, February, March, and April.

Want to make a difference and give back to the community you live in?  Make a Difference Day is the largest national day of community service and is recognized on the fourth Saturday of October. Please reference the HPU Events Calendar for more event details.

During the Fall semester, Hawai'i Pacific University holds its annual Halloween Funfest at Aloha Tower Marketplace. Da Freakshow is Hawai‘i Pacific University’s annual talent show where students have the opportunity to showcase their talents and skills to the HPU community.
