In compliance with the "Timely Notice" provisions of the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998, Campus Security is giving notice of suspicious activity in the area

REPORTED OFFENSE:

On June 11th at approximately 5:30pm an unknown Caucasian, well-dressed male in his mid 30’s approached a female crossing Beretania Street. Towards Fort Street and tried to kidnap her at knife point. The woman screamed and ran towards Kukui Plaza and the male jumped into an unknown vehicle and headed Ewa down Beretania Street. The female reported the incident to HPD that day and to HPU Security on 6/13/2018.

Be cognizant of your surroundings and if there is anything suspicious, please report to HPU security or the Honolulu Police Department. As soon as possible
