International Student Events
Every semester the Office of International Students and Scholars at HPU hosts a variety of events geared towards international and domestic students. These events are oftentimes centered around countries our students are from to provide some cultural exchange and a sense of home to campus, and many international students volunteer to help share information on their culture and country!

International Education Week: Fall 2023
International Education Week (IEW) is an initiative implemented by the U.S. Department of State and Department of Education since 2000. This initiative is to emphasize and highlight cultural and academic exchange programs across the United States and internationally in order to promote and acknowledge the benefits of international education. International education can be beneficial as it helps prepare students to broaden their mindset, approach to life, and focus on their immediate environments for intercultural communication, exposure, and competency.
Each year many universities participate in IEW during the week before Thanksgiving for cultural and academic exchange. At HPU, the Office of International Students and Scholars holds events from Monday-Friday in order to honor and represent our international students and our diverse community. We encourage both domestic and international community participation.
