ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY 

Emerson Hart, PhD, OTR/L, BCP, is an occupational therapist and educator with clinical and research experience spanning pediatric rehabilitation and neurological recovery. Her clinical background includes pediatric acute care, with experience working with children with cardiac and neurological conditions as well as infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Dr. Hart’s research experience includes stroke recovery, telerehabilitation, and rehabilitation for children with neuromotor conditions. She has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications and has presented her scholarly work at local, national, and international conferences. Her academic interests center on preparing future occupational therapists to apply evidence-informed clinical reasoning and occupation-based practice across rehabilitation settings.

Dr. Hart is based in South Carolina.
