Spring 2023 Graduate Orientation

Orientation is the official introduction to the student experience at HPU. You will have a chance to explore campus, get more familiar with degree programs, learn about university services, and make new friends. Orientation is educational and fun, and is required for all new FULL-TIME, UNDERGRADUATE and GRADUATE, DEGREE SEEKING HPU students (including first year, transfer, exchange, and visiting international students). Registration must be completed by January 1, 2023.

If you intend to enroll as a part-time, special status (non-degree seeking), associates/post-baccalaureate, or are completing your degree completely online, you are NOT required to register for or attend New Student Orientation. Questions may be directed to

Step 1 - Activate your student portal

Your MyHPU username is sent via email upon acceptance.

Step 2 - Enrollment Deposit

A $200 enrollment deposit paid online at is required to secure your seat and activate course registration. The enrollment deposit will appear on your account as a credit. Military affiliated students planning to use VA benefits, contact the HPU Veterans/Military Center at to request an enrollment deposit waiver. 

Doctorate of Physical Therapy students are required to pay a $600 DPT deposit at and the $200 enrollment deposit by at February 1st. Students who receive admission after January 15th, must pay both deposits within 14 days of receipt of admission notification to secure their spot. 
International Students - It is recommended that you complete your pre-arrival checklist for F-1 or J-1 student visas from the Office of International Students and Scholars prior to confirming your intent to enroll. You will need to provide them with a copy of your passport, statement of financial support and bank statements. If you have any questions, e-mail:

Step 3 - financial aid services

We encourage domestic students to contact our dedicated financial services team Toll Free: 1-866-225-5478, Direct: (808) 544-0253 or for information about financing your graduate degree as well as your specific financial situation. Information on Tuition & Fees, along with an estimated cost of attendance, can be found on our website. To explore sources for financial aid, we recommend that you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is the first step to determine eligibility for the Federal Stafford and Graduate PLUS loans. These and other loans can assist you with tuition and fees, as well as living and other education-related expenses.

Hawaii Pacific University has partnered with MED+PROCTOR for the submission of immunization records.

Degree programs in Nursing and Physical Therapy have additional health clearance requirements for clinicals. Check with your program for details.

Step 5 - Registration

Course registration is made online via your student portal - For step-by-step instructions on how to register for courses, click here.
It is recommended that you connect with your respective graduate program advisor for assistance with degree planning/course selection. To connect with your program advisor, click hereNote: Program advisors for the online graduate nursing and DPT programs will register students and provide course schedules.

Step 6 - Find textbooks

Purchase your textbooks and HPU gear at the HPU bookstore. Learn about HPU's Shark BUndle here.

Step 7 - Official transcripts and/or test score reports

Official transcripts and/or test scores must be ordered, issued and sent directly to HPU or a Centralized Application Service (CAS), e.g.: PTCAS, PSYCAS, CASPA, from the respective institution and/or testing agency. A hold will be placed on new students accounts if official transcripts/test scores are not received by the start of the entry semester. **HPU must be listed as the "Intended Recipient"**

HPU's school code is 4352 for GRE and TOEFL, VGJ-4Z-19 for GMAT and no school code is required for IELTS.
