Student Government Association

The Hawai'i Pacific University Student Government Association (SGA) is your student governing body. Every registered HPU student taking at least one credit is a constituent of the SGA. All students are encouraged to attend weekly meetings of the Student Senate and to voice their comments and concerns to the student senators.

SGA is comprised of the following three branches:

2018-2019 SGA General Election

Student Government Association is holding general elections for the 2018-2019 school year via online voting from March 19-21, 2018. All registered students are eligible to vote and should log into HPU Pipeline to cast their votes. Voting stations will be set up on Upper Fort Street Mall and on the Front Lanai at HLC for students' convenience. Students should review the candidate information below and meet the candidates during one of the meet and greet events. Students may email Director of Elections, Ashleigh Garica, with any questions.

Candidate Meet and Greet Events:

  • Wednesday, March 14th,11:30am-1:30pm, Upper Fort Street Mall
  • Thursday, March 15th, 11:30am-1:30pm, Front Lanai of AC building at HLC

Pizza will be served during the meet and greets. Bring your HPU student ID!

It Starts With Us Fair

Come out and support the “It Starts With Us Fair” on April 13, 2018 from 10:00am-2:00pm at our Aloha Tower Marketplace (ATM), Pier 9 Stage area. This event is hosted by your Student Government Association and Dean of Students Office in support of Sex Assault Awareness month.  “It Starts With Us Fair” will feature a Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® event, sexual assault awareness fair presented by local sexual violence organizations, and guest speakers and performances.   This event is open to the military, public, and members of the HPU community.
