Student Activity Fee

Funds from the Student Activity Fee (SAF) are allocated to organizations such as Campus Activities Board, Student Government, Campus Recreation, recognized student organizations and HPU departments to support student initiatives, activities, services, and resources that enhance the student experience at HPU.  We want students to take advantage of the many opportunities that will be available at HPU because of the Student Activity Fee. We encourage you to participate and be involved!

FUNDING REQUEST DEADLINES

SAFAC convenes to assess requests and allocate funds as long as funding is available. Complete the Funding Request webform by 5pm on the following dates below. The SAFAC Chair (or a SAFAC member) will send an email message to the requestor to confirm receipt of the request. 

Deadlines for Fall 2019 Requests

  • Round 1: April 8, 2019

  • Round 2: April 22, 2019
  • Additional Fall 2019 Dates To Be Determined in September 2019

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a non-refundable fee charged to main campuses undergraduate and graduate students each semester. The fee is used to fund major campus events planned by the Campus Activities Board, recognized student organizations, Student Government Association, and departments who reach out to the entire student body. 

Is a non-refundable fee that is assessed to the students noted below:

Full-time undergraduate: $50.00/semester

Part-time undergraduate: $25.00/semester

Full-time graduate: $25.00/semester

Part-time graduate: $13.00/semester

The funds will be allocated to the following areas (the proposed percentages below are subject to changes):

50% - CAMPUS ACTIVITIES BOARD (CAB)   

30% - RECOGNIZED STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS AND DEPARTMENTS                                                        

8% - STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION (SGA)                                                                                   

9% - CAMPUS RECREATION                                                                                                                          

2.5% - RESERVE FUND                                                                                                                                     

0.5% - STUDENT ACTIVITY FEE ALLOCATIONS COMMITTEE
