Kumu Kahua Theatre presents: "Shipwrek'd on the Body Beautiful, or the Tats Dancing Man." This play is based on the true story of James O'Connell, America's first tattooed man. Shipwrecked on the Caroline Islands, O'Connell saved himself from death by performing Irish jigs-and so began the slow process of his assimilation into Ponapean culture. This one-man show is a poetic tale of reverse appropriation. Intermission snacks included.
