Chris Layton is a 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee as part of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble.
Layton is currently on tour with the Kenny Vaughan Shepherd Band and is the drummer for the Experience Hendrix tribute tour and on shows with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Buddy Guy, and Jimmie Vaughan. He will do a Q&A with HPU Professor John Hart, take questions from the audience and do a brief master class on drumming.
This will be Layton’s only scheduled appearance in Hawai’i. The event is sponsored by the HPU Student Activities Fee Committee, MARCOM, Residential Honors College and College of Liberal Arts.
