Virtual HPU - Dissenters Guide to American History

Virtual HPU - Dissenters Guide to American History

April 03, 2020

02:00 PM - 03:00 PM

Your place of residence

Zach Mason, events@hpu.edu

Dr. Jon Davidann will discuss his life as a historian, his latest book, and the book he is currently working on, “The Dissenter’s Guide to American History.” If you have ever participated in a rally or march and are curious about what protest looked like in the past, join me for an interesting and engaging conversation about the history of dissent. After all, dissent created the rebellion that led to the founding of the United States. Dissent also helped end slavery, it played a crucial role in women getting the vote, and the civil rights all Americans enjoy today are the result of, you guessed it, determined dissenters.
