"Blue Hawai‘i" (1961) hosted by Dr. Mark Tjarks.

Perhaps the most successful tourism ad ever. After being discharged from the U.S. Army, Chadwick Gates (Elvis Presley) returns home to Hawaii. His family pressures him to work for the family pineapple business, but, much to the chagrin of his snobby (and racist) mother (Angela Lansbury), Gates only wants to hang out at the beach and play music all day with the "local beach bums" and pursue a romance with his Polynesian girlfriend, Maile (Joan Blackman), all night. He finally finds a way to enjoy his Hawai‘i lifestyle while meeting his parents' desire for him to succeed in business: he'll start a tour guide business for haoles from the Mainland.

Join Dr. Tjarks for pizza and a movie. Share viewpoints with him on images of Hawai‘i.
