Stop this Bickering! Communicating Across the Political Divide

Tuesday, October 30, 2018

5:30-7:30 p.m.

Aloha Tower Marketplace, MPR-2

Moving through this political season, the Right and the Left seem further apart than ever. Both sides look across the aisle and see the “enemy.” How did this happen? Do Americans really see each other this way? If so, why? How can we move past these divisions to have constructive dialogs and take advantage of diverse thoughts and ideas?

Come join the discussion, led by a distinguished panel including:

  • Beth Fukumoto, member of the Hawai‘i House of Representatives,
  • Michael Erickson, psychology professor and Director of Honors Programs at Hawai‘i Pacific University,
  • Gianna Prinzivalli, Criminal Justice major,
  • Melodie Williams-Aduja, Biology major.

We hope for a lively (but respectful!) discussion! Please bring your questions and your thoughts as we consider this critical issue just a week before the midterm elections.
