Account Coordinator

Job Summary 

This is a part-time student worker position. This role is responsible for intake, delegating, and managing projects for the marketing & communications team. Tasks include project intake, resource needs assessment and allocation, communication with internal clients, ensuring delivery/pickup of collateral, and other coordination necessary for smooth workflow. Projects most frequently involve design & production of print collateral, but may also include coordination of photo/video services, PR assistance, and digital promotion.


Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and troubleshoot problems  
  • Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal 
  • A keen eye for detail 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience in or ability to write and edit marketing copy (e.g. for ads, posters, invitations) 
  • Experience using cloud-based project/task management systems 

Key Responsibilities

Client management (30% of total job) 

  • Field project requests & gather detailed project needs from requestor 
  • Solicit input from project requestor, resolve open questions, secure signoff on copy, creative, and any other deliverables 

Project and resource management (30%) 

  • Enter requests and details into project management tool, assigning tasks to team members as appropriate 
  • Determine project costs and secure approval for expenditures as needed 
  • Write copy, proofread drafts, and provide input on behalf of requestor 
  • Communicate with marcomm partners to ensure projects stay on track; escalate roadblocks when they are encountered 

Vendor management (20%) 

  • Request bids and turnaround times from outside vendors, as needed 
  • Submit final files to vendors 
  • Ensure timely and smooth delivery of collateral to the appropriate partners
