Originally from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Megan McCarthy visited Hawai‘i Pacific University on undergraduate admissions Preview Day and knew it was the University she wanted to attend. McCarthy now graduates with a second HPU degree, a Master of Business Administration, through the College of Business concurrent degree program. In her final semester of the HPU Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree program, McCarthy enrolled in graduate-level courses, accelerating the completion of her MBA program in two semesters. She was on the Dean’s List for seven consecutive semesters. While an undergraduate at HPU, she was part of the Business Scholars Program, served as a peer mentor, and worked in the Admissions office for three years. McCarthy describes her experience as an Admissions student worker as rewarding and one of the best decisions she made to get involved with the HPU community. She enjoyed interacting with prospective and incoming students and their families, especially at Preview Day, where McCarthy says she fell in love with the campus. McCarthy’s journey to her full-time financial analyst position with Raytheon Technologies began at HPU as a freshman when she secured an internship with the corporation.
