Hawai‘i Pacific University’s prime location and resources have made it one of the best places in the world to study marine biology, environmental science and the many effects of humans on our environment.

The HPU faculty includes renowned scientists, including Research Biologist Jennifer Lynch, Ph.D, whose quest for solutions to global plastics pollution is front and center at HPU's Center for Marine Debris Research. Students work alongside Lynch and the team, pushing to get ahead of the crisis.
