College of Natural and Computational Sciences Graduation Speaker: Benjamin N. Miller
Benjamin N. Miller will graduate from Hawai‘i Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Originally from McKinney, Texas, Miller is a U.S. Navy Veteran Corpsman, an enlisted medical specialist, who earned a Navy Commendation Medal in the line of duty. At HPU, he has worked with professor Gideon Berger, Ph.D., as an undergraduate teaching assistant for Fundamental Organic Chemistry. Miller has served as a care provider, chamber operator, and treatment coordinator for a hyperbaric treatment center in Hawaii, helping injured divers across the islands. Miller will attend medical school, pursuing his interest in hyperbaric medicine and diabetes. He intends to return to Honolulu to work as a physician and researcher to serve the local community.
