MA TESOL Graduates Present Their Capstone Portfolios and Theses at a Virtual Celebration

Congratulations to MA TESOL graduates for the successful Capstone Presentations and Celebration online event on Friday, May 1, 2020.

The students presented on their teaching philosophies, learning point highlights, academic achievements, and future endeavors.

Provost Jennifer Walsh, Ph.D., joined the event with words of praise for the TESOL Program and heartfelt wishes for the presenters. In the audience were also Associate Dean Laurie Leach, Ph.D., retired TESOL program chair Edward Klein, Ph.D., Ruth Hanlon, TESOL’s library liaison, Stephanie Cleland of the Office of International Students and Scholars, and numerous faculty, alumni, students, families, and friends near and far, including these partners from student teaching sites: Dr. Gonzalo Isidro Bruno of Central Pacific Colleges, Ms. Jackie Kunning of Global Village, and Ms. Osaka of McKinley Community School for Adults.

The TESOL Program also recognized graduating BA TESOL and TESOL Certificate students.

In keeping with traditions, the students were showered with lei, albeit virtual, in celebration of their learning culmination and successful completion of the program.

This Capstone Presentations and Celebration event also marked the 20th anniversary of the MA TESOL Program.
