An annual exhibition of work by student artists, faculty, and staff, featuring HPU’s Student Veterans Association (SVA), opens on Sunday, March 17, 2019, with an opening reception from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the windward campus.  This mixed media exhibition will continue through Friday, April 26, 2019.

Works by members of the SVA, “The Journey of Signing a Dotted Line,” will explore the realities of deployment and military service through words and images by utilizing a participatory research tool called “Photovoice.” Photovoice empowers individuals to convey their experiences, perspectives, and needs through visual images and first-person narratives.

The Hawai‘i Pacific University Art Gallery is located on HPU’s windward Hawai‘i Loa campus, 45-045 Kamehameha Highway, in Kaneohe.  Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Admission and parking is free and the public is invited.  For more information call: 544-9340.
