BY INVITATION ONLY. APPROPRIATE CONTACT: Michael VanLear

This event has been scheduled for Thursday, November 9, beginning at 3pm. It will be held in Multi-purpose Room 1 (inside the Learning Commons) at Aloha Tower Marketplace (ATM). Below are some event details to help you prepare for your idea pitch.

Ideas
Your idea should be either a solution to an identifiable problem or some type of technical innovation. While BAH provides high-tech, cyber-focused services to various government agencies and branches of the military, they purposely avoid limiting the scope of your idea to these services to assess your ability to think critically and develop an out-of-the-box idea.

Deliverables

  1. Draft a one to two paragraph overview of your idea and email it to me in an attachment by Monday, October 30. I will forward your idea to our BAH contact. He will review your idea and contact you to help refine it before pitching it on November 9.

  2. Prepare a five-minute oral pitch of your idea. No multi-media may be used to support your pitch.

  3. Be prepared for a Q & A follow-up with the BAH representatives immediately after pitching your idea.

  4. At a minimum, be dressed business casual when you pitch your idea.

Considerations

  1. BAH will select those students/teams who pitch good ideas in an effective and convincing way to participate in their annual Ideas Festival in spring 2018.

  2. Those selected to participate in the Ideas Festival will be invited to an interview night for BAH’s Summer Internship program. This internship is approximately 12 weeks long. The pay is $25 an hour.

  3. Through Pitch Day, Ideas Festival and its Summer Internship program, BAH is seeking to find top college talent for its workforce. Over 70% than half of their Summer 2017 interns were offered full-time positions after graduating.

  4. Pitch Day and Ideas Festival are open to all students, but internships and employment with BAH is only open to domestic students.

  5. Research BAH ahead of Pitch Day. Learn about this employer and the work they provide their clients.
