Military Campus Programs Next Steps
Step 1 – Student Portal
Receive MyHPU username via email and create password.
Haven’t received your personal email address and username? Click here to confirm your identity if you know the email address associated with your application.
Step 2 – Meet with Advisor
Schedule an appointment to meet with your MCP Base Advisor to go over degree plan, verify DoD ID, and registration: www.hpu.edu/mcp. All students require an Alternate PIN to register.
Step 3 – Tuition
Active Duty Service Members, Reservists, and Guard will be eligible for $250/credit hour after HPU Service Member Tuition Waiver is applied.
Obtain Tuition Assistance (TA) funding: Upload degree plan to Military Tuition Portal.Obtain TA funding through your Military Tuition Portal. Submit approved TA voucher to your MCP Base Office to process tuition payment. More information about TA funding can be found here.
Students self-funding can make tuition payments can on your ebill through myHPU
If you are using veterans education benefits before you separate, see step 3 under Veterans section
Step 4 – Transcripts
Official transcripts are needed from each college and university attended, including any CLEP/DSST. If you are a service member or a Veteran, we will need a copy of your Joint Service Transcript or CCAF. You can upload unofficial transcripts during to your application to expedite your admissions process. A hold will be placed on your account if official transcripts have not been received within the first enrolled term. There are no exceptions.
Request all official transcripts from previous colleges. They can be:
- Sent via e-script from your previous university to admissions@hpu.edu
- Mailed to Admissions:

Create a FSA ID.
Complete the FAFSA.
HPU’s school code is 007279.
Connect with a Financial Aid Counselor. Check status of financial aid offer on myHPU
Step 6 – Health Reuirements
Review health clearance requirements HERE.
Hawai’i Pacific University has partnered with Med+Proctor for the submission of immunization records.
Step 7 – Books
Upon registering for courses, students will be automatically enrolled into Shark Bundle. If you prefer to obtain your course material another way, YOU MUST OPT-OUT of the program before the deadline.

Submit Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to va@hpu.edu. /copy of VONAPP to Veteran Transition Coordinator. Once eligibility is confirmed an email waiver will be sent to mcp@hpu.edu in order to waive $200 deposit. Please bring current DOD/ Military ID, or DD214 for benefit verification.If you recently applied for benefits, a copy of the statement of benefits can be sent while waiting on the COE.

Eligible military dependents, military retirees, DoD civilians and civilian contractors working on the military bases can apply for the HPU Military Grant that will bring their tuition to $290/credit hour. Speak to a base advisor for more information and how to verify your DoD ID.
