Student Senate

Meet HPU's Senate, the legislative and oversight branch of SGA, where dedication drives change. As pioneers of campus progress, we prioritize student voices and enact impactful initiatives. Collaborating closely with the Executive Board and campus partners, we foster unity and inspire innovation.  

The Student Senate serves to advocate for their constituents in their respective college or campus. The roles and responsibilities of an elected Senator include (but are not limited to): 

• Completing a minimum of four office hours per week
• Meeting with respective staff bi-weekly
• Being a part of at least one standing committee
• Being the voice for their constituents

We encourage students to reach out via email and/or visit us during our office hours. Your input and engagement are essential as we work together to shape a campus community where every voice matters and every effort counts.

*Although the Spring 2024 regular elections have already concluded, special elections to fill vacancies in the Student Senate will be held at the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester. Keep an eye out for the candidate application form in early Fall!
