BIOGRAPHY:
Yong Jae Kim joined the Department of History and International Studies as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Hawaii Pacific University in August 2018. Previously, he worked at International Training Institute/Asian Affairs Center at University of Missouri – Columbia.
RESEARCH AND TEACHING INTERESTS:
Yong Jae Kim’s academic interests cover political behavior, political institutions, political economy, East Asian politics, national security and foreign policy. His research focuses on the relationships between social conflicts and political institutions. As an instructor, he strives to provide students with how to find their own answers to crucial questions of political, social, and international phenomena.
