RN to MSN

For nurses with an Associate Degree who want to further their education, an option besides the two-years for the BSN exists. Instead, the RN can attain a Masters’ Degree in Nursing with the Family Nurse Practitioner qualification with only one additional year of study. If the goal is to become an FNP, the RN does not need to obtain a BSN first. Rather, at HPU, the RN-MSN pathway allows licensed registered nurses without baccalaureate degrees in nursing to transition into the MSN program. These students entering the RN-MSN Pathway will be granted provisional admission status until all prerequisites have been completed.
