Priority Application Deadlines:

  • Spring entry - November 30th
  • Summer entry - April 1st
  • Fall entry - July 1st 

*Entry terms vary by program. Graduate applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Program Specific Deadlines:

  • Master of Science in Marine Science - January 15th
  • Master of Social Work - February 15th 

*Graduate applications for the MSW and MSMS programs will continue to be accepted after the priority deadlines.

 Admission to any of the graduate or certificate programs at Hawai'i Pacific University is based on academic ability and potential for success.  Academic ability is evaluated on the applicant's past academic performance. Professional work experience, as well as, involvement in organizational or community activities may also be used in the evaluation. 

Applicants to master's level programs must hold a bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited college or university.

Applicants to the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program must hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited college or university.

HPU's online application should be used for new, returning, special-status (non-degree seeking) and visiting students interested in a graduate program.

Applicants to the Doctor of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) program must hold a bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited college or university.
