Based on program requirements, either the final official transcript showing conferred degree or all official transcripts for each institution attended may be required.  Official transcripts/records are defined as original documents issued by the institution (not photocopies) that bear the signature of the registrar and the seal of the issuing institution. Transcripts must be forwarded in their original, sealed envelopes. College seniors should submit current transcripts followed by a final official transcript showing the award of a conferred degree.

If your former institution does not have an online transcript request process email us for a Transcript Request form.

In addition to providing official transcripts, students who have completed coursework at a non-US college must also submit a certified evaluation (course-by-course with GPA calculation) and translation by NACES member organization.

This NACES evaluation and translation will convert your non-US coursework to the US equivalency so that HPU can evaluate your material for admission. You may wish to contact a few member organizations to determine the best price and timeline.

Letters of recommendation must be submitted by individuals who can attest to your ability to perform graduate level work successfully (e.g., former professors, academic counselors, employers, business colleagues). Recommendation Form for Graduate Admission. Form is fillable using either Chrome or Explorer.

Standardized entrance exams are specific to each program and may include: Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Records Examination (GRE).  Please refer to your program of interest. Official scores should be sent to Hawai'i Pacific University (code: 4352).  Standardized entrance exams must be less than five years old.

GMAT Fee Waiver

Hawaii Pacific University participates in the Graduate Management Admission Council’s GMAT Fee Waiver Program.  The Program is intended to help economically disadvantaged students access to graduate business education. If approved, the student will receive a fee waiver that can be used for one test administration (valued at $250). The number of waivers available is very limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are not eligible for multiple fee waiver awards.

Students must have applied for admission to an HPU College of Business graduate program, paid the application fee, and have official transcripts on file with Hawaii Pacific University to be considered for a GMAT fee waiver award.
