Outreach Programs

We extend HPU's mission as an international learning community built on an American liberal arts foundation. We are eager to share our robust experience with diverse individuals and groups seeking to develop dynamic academic, cultural, and professional collaborations.

HPU Outreach Programs include camps, conferences, courses, workshops, and more. Activities may be non-credit or for-credit. Recent examples include:

  • Our partnership with the Institute for Reading Development to offer summer reading programs around the state.

  • The Pacific Academy Summer Program offered in conjunction with the National WWII Museum.

  • Tech Savvy is a career conference developed by AAUW designed to attract middle school girls into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields.

  • Young Actors Ensemble is an engaging program for teens to learn the crafts of performance and technical theatre

HPU also offers specialized programs for international groups interested in content-rich English language experiences along with exposure to features of Hawaiian and American culture. These programs are developed by TESOL faculty.
