2017 Aloha Biz Simulation Competition and Gamification Seminar

In recent years, “gamification” has become a hot topic in global business world. Many studies indicate that “gamification can achieve multiple objectives for business, including employee satisfaction, an increase in innovation, skill development and changing behaviors” – significant impact on macro and micro business management process and performance outcomes. In line with the mission of Hawaii Pacific University to prepare our graduates to live, work, and learn as active members of a global society, we believe that delivering ongoing business simulation competition and gamification seminar would enhance the HPU mission further.
The online simulation competition will be limited to 7 HPU students. The seminar event will be open to all HPU students, faculty, staff, and administrators. This competition is only open to the HPU community.
Dates:
Nov 9 - Orientation (UB 214 – 2 p.m.)
Nov 10 to 30 - Online Simulation Competition (1 practice and 5 competition rounds)
Nov 30 - Seminar (PL 6th Floor Conference Room – 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.)
