HPU’s Lead Security Officer Receives Excellence in Service Award

Lead Security Officer Ana Pesaleli received the “Top Cop” award from The Law Enforcement and Security Coalition on Thursday, Oct. 24. The award pays special tribute to individuals from local, state, federal, and military law enforcement and security professionals who have exhibited outstanding professionalism, dedication, heroism, and community service.

Associate Vice President of Facilities, Safety and Security Kevin Matsukado, who nominated Pesaleli for the award, said she “has an exceptional understanding of how important it is to be a first responder to an emergency…” Within the last year, Pesaleli quickly responded to a water emergency at the HPU eSports Arena at Aloha Tower Marketplace, preventing water damage and minimizing the cost of repairs and avoiding an extended closure of the arena. Additionally, she generated a property damage incident report and took photographs of the incident for insurance purposes.
