TESOL Delivers 6 Group Programs this Summer

TESOL Delivers Six Group Programs this Summer

Under the directorship of TESOL faculty member Barbara Hannum, HPU successfully delivered six group programs this summer to Korean nursing students from Seoul Women’s College of Nursing, nursing students from Kyungnam University, hospitality & tourism students also from Kyungnam University, APN graduate students and nursing professionals from Dong-A University, and Japanese students from Tokyo Internal Business College and Tokyo Management College.

These multi-faceted short-term group programs offer academic enrichment, professional development, experiential learning, and cultural explorations to international students and enhance HPU’s global relationships. These specialized content-based programs also provide numerous opportunities for practicum experience to HPU TESOL students. Also supporting the summer group programs were conversation partners and tutors from the Center for Academic Success, administrators and faculty from the College of Health and Society (Nursing), the College of Business (HTM), and significant administrative assistance from the College of Professional Studies.
