You have likely heard about HPU’s Guaranteed Internship and Experiential Learning program. Introduced in spring 2019, this program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on, practical experience that prepares our graduates to, as our mission states, “. . . live, work, and learn as active members of a global society.”

The Career Development Center is excited to oversee the offering of guaranteed internship opportunities for HPU students. We have named this the Hana Ka `Ike program, meaning, “through doing one learns.”

Internships are an ideal way for students to apply their HPU education towards meaningful and challenging work. Participation in an internship enables you to include relevant work experience on your resume, giving you a leg-up on the competition when searching for employment after college. An internship also helps you identify pathways that will lead to rewarding careers years down the line.

Students interested in learning more about the Hana Ka `Ike program or other experiential learning opportunities are encouraged to contact the Career Development Center at 808-544-0230 or email cdc@hpu.edu. Better yet, visit us at our new Waterfront Plaza location, Suite 6-440.
