Aloha Everyone!

My name is Tatiana, and I'm a junior at HPU. Anyone who knows me knows that I love going on food adventures around the island and taking my friends with me. My weekend plans are often going to a new cafe or restaurant that opened in the area. The great thing about HPU is that we're smacked right in the middle of everything, so there are always new places to go. One of my favorite and unique dessert spots is actually inside of a clothing store! The store is called Urban Island Society, and it's only a 6-minute walk from Waterfront Plaza. When you go inside, you'll see cute minimalistic clothes, but you'll also see a counter with a cotton candy machine.

Their specialty is their lemon milk drink. I know what you're thinking, and it honestly shocked me too, but after some research, I found out that it was created after World War II in Tochigi, Japan. They have four flavors: matcha, strawberry, blueberry, and mango. I got the strawberry with cotton candy and let me tell you, it tastes like a liquid strawberry cheesecake with a little bit of lemon. The cotton candy is also incredibly fluffy and doesn't taste artificial. For $7. It's worth the price and the experience.
