College of Health and Society (CHS) Students and Faculty Take Part in Medical Mission

CHS faculty Cate Critz, Ph.D., and Hobie Etta Feagai, Ed.D., and nursing students spent Spring Break in La Antigua, Guatemala, completed a medical mission during Spring Break in the historic city of La Antigua, Guatemala. The students had the opportunity to serve vulnerable populations from five unique rural Guatemalan communities, providing much-needed health assessment, promotion, and healthcare treatments to infants, children, families, and elders with little or no prior health care. The warmth, kindness, and appreciative Guatemalan people enriched the lives of all who participated, and the Wallace, Elizabeth, and Isabella Wong Family Foundation provided much-appreciated funding for the service trip.
