Professor Hanh thi Nguyen, Ph.D. (TESOL) co-edited "Conversation Analytic Perspectives on English Language Learning, Teaching and Testing in Global Contexts,” which was recently published (2019, Multilingual Matters). The book offers microanalyses of how English is taught and learned in Brazil, China, Denmark, Iran, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Turkey, and Vietnam. Read a blogpost from the publisher, offering highlights from the book.

In addition to being the lead editor, Nguyen contributed the chapter on Vietnam and co-wrote the introduction. The preparation of the book benefited from assistance by (then) TESOL's graduate assistants Justin Pannell and Oscar Silio and TESOL alumni Bella Congdon and Tai An Chou.

Nguyen is presenting highlights from the book in an Applied Linguistics Talk at HPU on March 15, 2019.
