Students from the Public Health Department Volunteer at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Public Health students, led by Public Health Lecturer Anaeliz Colon, arrived at Kapi‘olani Park at 4:30 a.m., on Sunday, Oct. 14, to participate in this exciting community event. The HPU Public Health team had the opportunity to educate race participants about the increase in young women facing breast cancer and were able to share information about the community resources available to them.  HPU student-athletes from the Women's Soccer team also volunteered at the event.
