Students Selected for Hawai‘i Lodging & Tourism Association (HLTA) Generational Mentoring Program

HTM students with faculty Wendy Lam and mentor Scott Ingwers

Hospitality and Tourism Management students Caroline Tams, Hanako Adachi, Roland Pira and Samantha Londynsky are participants of the 2018-19 program, which incorporates a curriculum built by HLTA in partnership with Arthur Sarkissian, founder of Here and Now Consulting. The students, who are paired with seasoned executives from Hawai‘i’s visitor industry, will be given the opportunity to establish their personal brand, enhance their leadership skills and build rapport with their mentor.

On Friday, Oct. 19, the HPU students and their professor Wendy Lam, Ph.D., chair of the Hospitality & Tourism Management program, attended the generational mentoring program kick-off mixer and the mentor and mentee pairings were unveiled. At the conclusion of the six-month program, the sharing of lessons learned will be one of the highlights at the commencement luncheon.
