HPU Partners with American Red Cross

HPU-ARC volunteer team Feb 10 2018

Hawai‘i Pacific University staff, students, faculty, and alumni joined Community Emergency Response Team members, volunteering in the American Red Cross of Hawai‘i “Sound the Alarm: Save a Life Campaign” service event held on Saturday, Feb. 10. The volunteer teams installed smoke alarms in Kaneohe and Kailua households and also provided fire safety education to the residents.

HPU seeks service partners whose work could most benefit from our ‘ohana’s desire to volunteer and give back to the people and communities throughout our islands. In September 2017, the university announced it had committed to a partnership with the American Red Cross of Hawai‘i as HPU’s service organization of choice for the 2017-18 academic year.
